kiddy Seat Belt Shortener For Aircraft Approved Car Seats
kiddy provides child car seats which have been approved and licensed for use in aircraft by the TUV Rheinland and the Luftfahrtbundesamt (German federal aviation adminstration).
Legally approved for anywhere in the world it is recommended that a copy of the Aircraft Cerification is obtained from us before travel (we will need the order number, date and full order details to issue this) together with a seat belt shortener. Customers should check with the airline in advance and take documentation on the flight.
In 2008 a new EU law entered into force requiring children sat on an adult lap to be secured with the aircraft loop belt in case of turbulences. TUV Rheinland have conducted a series of tests with regard to safety this is not best choice for children. It is advised to book a separate seat for the child and fix a safety seat to it.
kiddy seat belt shorteners are recommended to be taken on the airplane. Occasionally seatbelts differ in length. If the seatbelt is too short all aircraft are equipped with an extension so this can be adjusted. If the belt is too long the kiddy seat belt shortener will be required to ensure a perfect fit.
